24/7 PRAYER CALL – What is God saying to us?

24/7 PRAYER CALL

From Conference there has been a Connexional call for a Year of Prayer. We are undertaking this year of prayer that we might:

* Hear what God is saying
* Pray for the Church, our local church and the community in which we are placed
* Commit ourselves to do what God asks

Down District are kicking off this prayer initiative for the month of October. Glastry have been given the date of the 17th October.

We intend to set up a prayer room for use (if you cannot get to the church but wish to be involved you can pray in your own home). You can opt to pray in pairs, small groups or pray individually, just as long as the 24 hours are covered.

All groups in the church are encouraged to participate in setting up the prayer room or individually if you have something you wish to include please speak to Alyson, Annika or Mark.

During the 24 hour period, there will be 3 hours of corporate prayer plus one hour of a prayer walk in the local communities represented in Glastry. If you would like to get involved in the prayer walk in your area speak to Jordan or Alyson. We need to cover the following communities: Ballyhalbert, Portavogie, Ballywalter, Cloughey, Greyabbey, Kircubbin.

We plan to start at 8.00pm on Tuesday the 17th with an hour of corporate prayer and finish at 7.00pm to 8.00pm Wednesday with another hour of corporate prayer. The third hour will be at 12 mid-day on Wednesday.

There will be a chart in the porch for you to select an hour to cover. Don’t be afraid to participate because you have never done this before. Get involved!

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. 2 Chronicles 7:14.
